LIVONIA WIVES CLUB

The founding meeting of RFC Livonia's Wives Club in the restaurant 'D-style', February 12th, 2012.

 

Livonia's Wives Club is a part of RFC Livonia, which supports the club's development and popularity.

Livonia's Wives Club has been founded to bring together Livonia players' and club members' partners for mutual activites.

Livonia Wives Club founder Gundega Prince-Libere:

"The basic idea for a wives club formed during the 2011 rugby season, when players' and club supporters' partners were scattered all around the field during games and didn't really know one another. Subsequently, the support for the Livonia team on the pitch wasn't as noticable and valuable as it could be. This year the idea to start a wives club was put forward to players' wives and girlfriends and received much interest. This is an opportunity to organise all sorts of events and to go to the games together and support the boys, and maybe also doing some sporting activities of our own! I'm happy about the big response, and we were already turned up in big numbers to the first meeting! I would like to say a big thankyou to the girls for the interesting coversations, and for their future participation in future activities and support for the club. The next wives club meeting will be on February 26th at 5 pm at the Spa centre 'Joker Clun' I invite all Livonia players' and members' partners who have not already applied to join the club, to send me an e-mail at sievuklubs@livonia-rugby.lv
